At present, ERC responds to emergency calls in the area of 38 municipalities (which are home to over 75% of the Lithuanian population) and performs operational management of fire and rescue forces on the territory of 31 municipality. At peak times each official at the ERC responds to 30 emergency calls and generates eight reports to emergency services on the need for assistance per hour on average.
