ERP encourages our employees to balance office work with physical activity by offering an official salary bonus to all employees who sign statements indicating that they work out at a gym, sports club or swimming pool no less than twice a week.  Additional bonuses are offered to employees who actively participate in our corporate sports teams, e.g. ERP’s Floorball Team.

We also encourage our employees to reduce their risks of heart disease, cancer and other serious illnesses by giving up tobacco use entirely.  We recognise the rights of non-smokers to a smoke-free environment and all of ERP’s offices in all of our locations are strictly non-smoking.  At the same time, we also recognise the rights of our smoking employees, who are provided with appropriate smoking areas, away from our non-smoking workforce.  Employees who do not smoke now receive an official on-going pay bonus.  Additionally, current smokers who quit will not only receive on-going bonus pay, but a one-off bonus for quitting.

In terms of occupational health and safety, ERP is organising periodic workshops and seminars on how our employees can help ensure a safe and healthy working environment, starting with statutory occupational health and safety issues and running to stress reduction workshops.

This programme has been implemented as part of ERP’s overall commitment to our workforce and to being an Employer of Choice in the markets in which we work.

ERP invests to serve our clients better

ERP’s core product, like that of any other consulting firm, is knowledge.  Customers turn to professional consultants for specialised knowledge and skills, which may be hard to come by within their own organisations.  That’s why the level of training of a consulting firm’s staff is the critical success factor to delivering quality service.  ERP recognises this and that is why ERP (Lithuania) is investing over 250.000 LTL in continuing professional development training for our consulting professionals.

Read more

During the first six months of 2007, ERP has already invested over 152.000 LTL in 52 training programmes for our team of professionals.  This includes specialised training in SAP, EMC Documentum, Microsoft SQL, Microsoft .NET and Microsoft Dynamics NAV, and Oracle.  It also includes training and certification of seven new project managers, training in finance and accounting, HR and strategic management.

In addition to continuing education, a sizeable percentage of ERP’s Vilnius office staff has completed graduate and post-graduate degrees in the first half of 2007, including a PhD in workflow, and our team boasts an additional three doctoral candidates in fields relating to our business.  ERP will continue to offer tuition benefits to our staff with the aim of increasing their overall qualifications.

Our goal is to continue to hold our market-leader position by having the most highly-trained and capable team of professionals in the Baltics.  This large-scale investment in continuing education of our employees will help ensure that we reach that goal.

ERP - “Ecofriendly” Consulting

Although consulting services by their nature are usually not considered as having a significant impact on the environment, since the end of 2006 ERP has been implementing measures to reduce the environmental impact of our growing operations.  A key step in this process has been the implementation of internal policies to reduce paper consumption and solid waste produced by our operations, and, reduce energy consumption by our offices.

Read more

In terms of paper consumption, conservation measures including transferring as many transactions as possible into purely electronic form, combined with in-house recycling of office paper has allowed us to reduce overall consumption of paper dramatically, as compared with 2006.

While our overall number of staff has increased by 20% since December 2006, we have successfully reduced our overall paper consumption by 24%.  Paper use per employee has dropped by 37%.

Steps taken to reduce solid waste production, not including reducing office paper consumption, include:

  • Recycling of newsprint and other printed paper;
  • Replacement of single-use plastic cups with glass and paper;
  • Ensuring that obsolete or non-functional computers and electronic components are delivered to authorised electronic waste processing centres.

To reduce the energy and carbon impact of our operations, ERP has taken active steps to ensure that:

  • Our corporate automobiles are all less than five years old and are equipped with fuel conservation and catalytic conversion equipment;
  • Office equipment is fully shut down at the close of business, e.g. not leaving PCs in standby mode;
  • Air conditioning usage in our offices is limited to holding a temperature of 21 degrees Centigrade;
  • International travel is limited to the bare minimums needed to ensure business operations; and
  • International travel, where possible, is done using eco-friendly airlines, using modern aircraft.
