“I believe we won this tender due to our great experience in implementing analogous systems. ERP had developed various Customs Systems in Lithuania, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and this experience will be successfully employed”, - claims Mr. M.Zbarskis.

The goal of this Project is to establish a unified Information System automatically recording and classifying all data about cargo flows within Tadzhikistan. Up to the present day, declarations in this country have still been filled in by hand and generalized data reaches the Government and other authorities behind time. Having implemented the new system, it will be possible to know a real situation of a certain day about cargo flows, amounts of collected duties. Moreover, there will be the Risk Management System created by ERP implemented allowing easier identification of suspicious declarations.

The new system will facilitate both the work of Customs officials and cargo carriers – its implementation in the Customs will validate the One Window Principle.

Tadzhikistan is the third Asian country already where ERP begins its activity. Besides the projects in Tadzhikistan, ERP performs them in Kazakhstan and Kirghizia as well. Furthermore, the Company has its representative offices in the Ukraine, Georgia, Belarus, and Latvia, and it actively operates in Estonia, Great Britain, Poland and other foreign countries.

ERP is an official representative of SAP, EMC Documentum, FICO and is Microsoft Certified Partner.

The fundamental values of the Lithuanian capital Company ERP include ecology, public spirit, and social responsibility. The Company was acknowledged Workplace of the Year 2008 and Environmental Company of the Year 2008 at the National Responsible Business Rewards.

ERP donates GPS navigation systems to the ambulance service

As part of its social responsibility programmes, ERP equipped 10 ambulances of the Vilnius Municipal Emergency Medical Services Station with GPS navigation systems.

“It is a big help to us. The drivers know Vilnius well, however it is sometimes difficult to find people asking for help who live in the countryside or at the edges of the capital that are rapidly expanding. Every minute is precious to us, as a human life may depend on this,” said, Tadeuš Rodz the director of the Vilnius Municipal Emergency Medical Services Station.

The Vilnius Municipal Emergency Medical Services Station has a total of 39 ambulances.
Although some of the newer ambulances already had GPS receivers, up till now none of the ambulances operated by the station could use GPS navigation due to the fact that maps were not installed and development of related software was not completed.

The fully functional GPS navigation systems donated by ERP will be installed in seven intensive care and three regular ambulances.

“We think that businesses must be civic minded in the face of the current economic crisis and, if there is such a possibility, to provide aid to institutions facing a financing gridlock. Maybe someday that GPS will rescue lives of my family,” said Markas Zbarskis, ERP General Director.

ERP participated in the development and installation of the 112 Emergency Response Centre in Vilnius and is currently continuing development in this area.  A system to allow all ambulances to use GPS navigation should have been implemented this year at the 112 Emergency Response Centre.  However, funding cuts due to the financial crisis have put this work on hold.

Therefore, ERP as a socially responsible company, decided to donate mobile GPS navigation systems to the Vilnius Emergency Medical Services Station.  The Station can use these mobile systems until such time that the main system comes on line.
